SJ 18 - Perspectives & Quick Sketches in Class

The following are sketches of different perspective views.

The following sketches were done in class. Just some fast sketches. We're given a few minutes to finish drawing each perspective projected out.

SJ 14 - Bubble Diagram of My (current) Dream House

This is just a draft of a my (current) dream house. Still unsure how I want it to look like and I'm pretty sure I'm going to picture something really different from the following bubble diagram.

SJ 12 - 3 Different, 3 Concept

Oscar Niemeyer Museum

The concept of the building came from an eye. The main structure of the building is designed like an eye. "Museum of the eye" is given as a nickname to this mega structure.

Oscar Niemeyer Museum, Parana, Brazil.

Air Force Academy Chapel
This chapel is located in the air force base in Colorado, USA. The idea was the create a chapel base on a jet plane in a repetitive matter.

Air Force Academy Chapel, Colorado, U.S.A.

CCTV Headquarter

The CCTV Headquarters is a 44 storey high skyscraper. The idea of the building came from a transformation of a Chinese character, 门。This Chinese character means "door" in Chinese.

SJ 11 - Favourite Item

This is one of my favourite pair sneaker that I own. It was designed by a famous skater, Stefan Janoski. Hence, the sneaker's name, Nike SB Stefan Janoski.

SJ 10 - Initial Concept of Viewing Tower

This is first page of design sketches for the viewing tower.

This is the second page of the design development.

The final concept i chose for my viewing was "expanding mess", based on Patrick's characteristics.

SJ 09 - Postcard of Georgetown, Penang

This is some of the famous places in Georgetown, Penang.

All 3 buildings in the sketch above has their own uniqueness.

The Suffolk House and Masjid Kapitan Keling are great examples of buildings from the past. The Suffolk House was not taken care of and was left unattended and became a waste building. But they decided to keep this important structure. It was later restored and now it's opened to public as a musuem and a retaurant.
The Masjid Kapitan Keling is well kept building. It didn't require much restoration.

The Penang shophouses in the sketch were kept the way they were built this type of shophouses were built in the early 1900's.

SJ 07 - 3 Ideas for viewing tower

I chose Patrick the Starfish as the character for the viewing tower.

This is first 3 ideas that i came up with for my viewing tower. I designed the towers using the concept "soft" and "blob".
